The opposite of fear is not courage; it is Faith.

For so much of my life, I fought back fear with courage. I tried to take control of things and take the bull by the horns, so to speak. But I’m seeing this paradigm shift that God is doing in my life. I don’t need to fight back. I don’t need to muster up the courage. I don’t need to try to make myself stronger. I don’t even need to try to stop feeling some of the things I’m feeling. I simply surrender it all to Him and trust. Trust that He has a plan. Trust that He has my back. That kind of trust is called Faith. The Bible says that we only need Faith the size of a mustard seed. And I often think in my life that’s all the Faith I had. You see, it isn’t my mountain of Faith that moves the mountains in my life. It is Jesus. He is bigger than the mountain, and I only need a tiny bit of Faith to ask Him to do the moving. I only need Him. He calms the storm and puts my feet on solid ground. With Him, I can walk on water. He tells me who I am. He gives me peace, hope, and joy. I don’t need more strength or courage; I need trust and Faith in Jesus.
