When I got back into the room I saw all these sweet ladies surrounding my daughter and praying for her.

September 30
My oldest daughter has a lot on her plate right now. She's a struggling artist longing to be an opera singer. She's homeschooling her two children. Her husband has gone back to school to get his master's degree. That leaves her with a huge chunk of the financial responsibility. On top of that because of COVID most performing opportunities have evaporated. She is feeling the pressure of time running out and getting too old. The Opera world gets harder and harder to break into as you get older. Many of the programs are only available up to a certain age. She is trying to hear the voice of God and make sure she is not stepping out of his will. She is a beautiful young woman, inside and out, and I am proud to call her my daughter. She had some disappointments earlier this week that I know broke her heart. She's leaning into God and trying to trust him. Sometimes it is just hard to know what to do.
We go together to church on Wednesday nights. So tonight I picked her and my grandchildren up, and off we went. We are really enjoying the Bible study and the fellowship. My daughter's been doing all the homework and has really enjoyed this study on hearing the voice of God. Before watching the video we each shared how our week had been going. My daughter shared a little of how she was feeling. Tonight after the video was done, we had just a little bit more discussion, and the ladies at our table just reached out to encourage her. They were listening to her and loving her. When she mentioned she should go get the kids, I told her to keep talking and I would go get them. When I got back into the room I saw all these sweet ladies surrounding my daughter and praying for her. These are all women that in their own way could understand the struggles she is experiencing. I saw Jesus tonight as these sweet ladies loved on my girl. When I walked in, I joined the prayer, and then my grandchildren joined too. They wrapped their arms around their mom and prayed for her. Thank you Jesus for our church. Thank you Jesus for these sweet ladies. Thank you for embracing my girl with Your love through the arms of these Christian Women.
