I can't type very well with a finger splint

September 26
It is 1 o’clock in the morning, and I just got out of the bath. This is the first time all day I have had a chance to sit down and write. We got a lot done today in the basement kitchen. My son-in-law came over after work to give us a hand. We got most of the drywall work done and tomorrow we should be able to start bringing down the cabinets. I also cut all the trim for the stairs going into the basement. The second to last piece that I cut was small and somehow I wasn’t holding the piece of trim tight enough. The wood kicked back at me and bent my middle finger the wrong way. It hurt so bad I thought maybe I broke my finger. I iced it right away and as I am writing this a have a makeshift splint made from a popsicle stick. As long as I don’t bend it, I’m okay. I can’t type very well, so tonight this will be short. God is good! I was able to work right along side of my husband and son-in-law all day. Other than the annoyance of not being able to bend my finger, I was able to do all I wanted to do. Now as I am winding down, it is starting to throb a little, but today and tonight while I worked, nothing. I am going to make an ice pack and head off tho bed. Thank you Jesus for such a productive day, and thanks for protecting me!
