I didn't realize how bad my sleep has been until I got a good night's sleep.

May 5
Before I went to bed last night, I knew that I really needed a good night's sleep. So, I wanted to prepare my mind, heart, body, and spirit. I needed to do everything possible to set the atmosphere and protect my sleep. I had a cup of chamomile and lavender tea. I said my prayer of surrender. I wanted to release anything I was holding onto or worrying about. I prayed the bedtime prayer from Ransomed Heart. It is such a powerful prayer that covers you, your family, and your home. As I laid in bed, with my head comfortably on the pillow, I prayed a centering prayer, and peacefully fell asleep. I SLEPT. It was the best sleep I have had in such a long time. I didn't wake up for anything all night long. When I opened my eyes this morning I couldn't believe it. I felt so good. I forgot how good it was to sleep like that. It made me realize how poorly I really have been sleeping. I am so thankful that He gave me such a great night's sleep. It was the perfect gift.
