Sometimes all you need is a little worship to set your heart straight.

January 12

Today My son Brandon went back to school again and my daughter Sarah got on a plane to go to Switzerland. The holidays are over and the business of life has started. Honestly, I'm a little sad. Some of it is I am just tired. Some of it is holiday let down. Some of it is I miss my kids. God knew it would be a hard day for me, so He wrapped the day in glimpses of Him. We sang four songs this morning in church and each song was a reminder of what God is doing.

First, we sang Something Good, which reminded me that He goes before me. He surrounds me and He is always up to something good.

The second song was, Raise a Hallelujah, which reminded me that my victory is in my worship, in my praises.

Next was, Do it again. I've seen God move mountains and I believe I will see Him do it again. His promise still stands.

Lastly, we sang Build my Life. I will build my life on the firm foundation of His love. He will open my eyes in wonder and show me who He is.

I felt so grounded and at peace. Later in the day when I took my daughter to the airport, I found a penny. Growing up, I would say, find a penny, pick it up, all day long you'll have good luck. As a Christian, I don't want to follow superstitions. The penny will not bring me good luck; it has no power. But when you pick it up and look at the face of Lincoln, above his head it reads, IN GOD WE TRUST. When I find a penny, I do pick it up, but only because it reminds me of HIm whom I trust. To finish the night off, I went to a leadership meeting at church. I met someone whose husband went to the same YWAM base that my daughter is going to. He was there when YWAM was first starting. For me it was confirmation of all God is going to do in her. We sang beautiful worship songs to the Lord. Glenn Burris delivered an inspiring beautiful message. I came home renewed and full of His love for me. I Raise a hallelujah!
