Prayers For Pepo

The only thing I can do is pray. Thankfully, it is also the most powerful thing I can do.

July 27
As I was finishing my time of prayer this morning God brought Pepo to mind and I prayed for Him. Pepo is my son-in-law’s grandfather. He is 82 years old, in the hospital with COVID, and on a ventilator. It does not look good. No one can go and see him and sit with him, he is all alone. The nurse placed a video chat with his family yesterday. They were able to see Pepo and say their final goodbyes in case he doesn’t recover. It is all so sad. I prayed for peace and for God to be with Him. I bound and cast off all spirits of fear, loneliness, and anything else not of God. I prayed that his room would be permeated with the love of Christ and that Pepo would be so filled with the love of his Savior he would radiate the glow of His love. I prayed that Pepo would not be lonely or afraid, he would only feel the love, peace, and presence of Jehovah Shalom (The Lord Is Peace). I asked God to send His angels to watch over and protect him. As caregivers would walk into the room, they too would feel the love of God, and any spirit not of God attached to them would not be allowed entrance. I prayed that if it was best for Pepo, God would heal him and restore his health. If not, God would peacefully bring him home. As I pictured his room, it was lined with angels and illuminated by the golden light of God’s love. Be at peace Pepo. You are loved. Lastly, I prayed the 23rd Psalm over him.
The LORD is Pepo’s shepherd, he shall not want.
He makes Pepo lie down in green pastures;
He leads him beside quiet waters.
He restores Pepo’s soul;
He guides Pepo in the paths of righteousness
For His name’s sake.
Even though Pepo walks through the valley of the shadow of death,
He will fear no evil, for You are with him;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort him.
You prepare a table before Pepo in the presence of his enemies;
You have anointed Pepo’s head with oil;
His cup overflows.
Surely goodness and loving-kindness will follow Pepo all the days of his life,
And Pepo will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.
Amen
