My Weakness For His Strength

In the silence I am free

I wish I had words to describe how much I love the practice of centering prayer. Many times God will reveal something to me or I will have an encounter with Jesus, but today was not one of those days. Today was filled with peaceful silence. My mind did start to drift a few times but I came back to my sacred word and continued in the silence. I let go of all worries and burdens. I stop planning and preparing. I am simply still and I love it. I keep being reminded of Isaiah 30:15

In returning and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength.

I let go of all my thoughts and desires for the twenty minutes of prayer. I am free of the weights and worries of the world. I can just be. The more I empty myself the more room for God. Today’s time with God may seem uneventful, but I feel wonderful. I am at peace and have a sense of strength and balance that only comes from God. There is a sweet exchange that happens as I sit in silence. My weakness for His strength.
