I saw my heavenly Father watch over my earthy father today, then He gave me some sweet time of fellowship and an opportunity to be a blessing.

Today I took my dad to the airport today. He is in his eighties and doesn't walk very well. So I had to help him in. When we tried to check his bag, it was overweight. We spent some time removing some things and putting some items in his backpack. Everything went pretty smoothly. The girl at the counter got a wheelchair to wheel him through security. I got him there early, we said our goodbyes and I headed out to the van. Before I had a chance to leave the airport my dad called me. He had accidentally left a little pocket knife in his jacket pocket. He meant to put it in his suitcase. But the TSA agent allowed the airport attendant who was Wheeling him through to take the pocket knife. She told him she would put it in Lost and Found. They would keep it there for him, either I could pick it up or he could pick it up in a couple of months when he got back to town. That kind of grace never happens. My dad gave me a call, told me about it and asked if I had a chance, could I come back to pick it up for him. Well since I hadn't left the parking lot yet, I just came back in and talked to the girl behind the desk. She went and got his knife. It was wrapped in paper, stapled closed with his name and phone number on it. They were all so sweet and kind to my sweet dad. That was God’s grace. I left the airport and went to see a sweet friend who is in hospice. She has cancer. And she's not doing well. I met up with another dear friend and we went to see her together. I had a little project I wanted to get done for her and she was so grateful. It was such a simple little thing. But to her it was everything. After we left my sweet friend in hospice my other friend and I just sat and talked for quite a while. When we were finally done with our conversation I felt loved, refreshed, and renewed. It was such a sweet time with God and one of His daughters.
