From little blue eggs to babies flying away. I didn't miss a thing!

May 7

The baby robins have left the nest. I just looked at the pictures on my phone to see when the Mamma first laid her eggs. It was on April 6th. I can't believe it has been a whole month. I have checked on them almost every day and took pictures. It was amazing how fast they grew once they hatched. Yesterday they were so big, I knew today would probably be the last day in the babies would be in the nest. So this morning, the first thing I did was check the babies. I didn't want to miss it. I walked out the front door with my phone/camera ready to take a picture. Only two birds in the nest and Mama was on the edge. As soon as I got even a little close one more baby flew out of the nest. Not far and not graceful, but out. My daughter and I sat out front for a little while watching. As one baby flew across the street, one of the parents flew beside it. As another baby was still struggling to fly, one of the parents would stand in my garden and chirp. It seemed like the parent was trying to encourage it's little one. Both the mom and the dad would feed the babies, and today they both helped teach them to fly. It was so beautiful to see these little Robins taking such sweet care of their babies. I was so excited to see the Robin's eggs when they first appeared, and I am so happy that I didn't miss any of it. God gave me a front-row seat and the pictures to remember it by.
