Hold Back the Rain

Others may say we just got lucky, but I know it was my heavenly Father

God held back the rain. My son and his friends have been planning a little get-together at our house for weeks. Everyone was looking forward to just hanging out, eating together, playing some pool and smores by the firepit. They had several outdoor games planned. Things like corn toss, lawn darts and of course the fire pit. All day, just as it would look like it was about to rain, the skies would clear. As people arrived we found out it had rained all around us. It had rained pretty hard, but here the skies were clear. Everyone really enjoyed the night and thanked us for allowing them to gather and have some fun and fellowship. After everyone left, and I was heading to bed, it started to rain. The party was over and the fire was out. The games had been brought back in. Everyone had headed home. I just smiled. Some may say we just got lucky. I say, Thank you Lord for holding back the rain and making a perfect night.
