BBQ by the Lake

Nothing better than the gift of family.

So grateful for family time, and BBQ hamburgers by the lake. My son-in-law had the idea to cook hamburgers on the grill down by the lake. We could cook on the grill by the lake and eat on the picnic table. The kids and anyone else who wanted to could play in the water. Since it is Sunday, I thought what better way to spend the rest of the day. My husband and I made a quick trip to the dump, and to Lowes before going down to the lake. The road by the dump was lined with cars and people unpacking their cars. They were heading to the lake as well. But they had to pack up all the stuff they wanted to bring to the lake and drive, find a place to park, and hike with all their kids, and stuff, all the way to the lake. I have done this going to the beach. It can be quite the ordeal. All I have to do is walk down the street a few houses. Gratefulness wells up in my soul again for all God has done for me. We play a game of Uno. The kids play in the water. My son-in-law cooks on the grill. My two daughters and I hang out and chat. Andrew is digging up clay, to refine and make a piece of pottery. Brandon joins us after he was done with his friends. Michael is finally relaxing. I love my family and I am so grateful for this house and where God planted us. I am so grateful for days like this when we are all together enjoying each other's company. A day of rest and family.
