A Place For God

If I am seeking God in this time of prayer, he is seeking me much more

In my prayer time, I am learning to create a place that is free of the world and myself. A place for God to come, and meet me. A quiet still place free of distractions. A week ago I was trying to shut down my thoughts so I could find Him. I was trying to force something. Now I am releasing and letting go.

Stop striving, He is already here.

I know that I did not find God, He found me. He never stopped pursuing me. He saved me. I am my beloveds and my beloved is mine. It gives me assurance that if I am seeking God in this time of prayer, he is seeking me much more. If I want this intimacy, He wants it even more. This is the reason I simply lay it all down and surrender. God is doing all the work. I may not notice it at the time, but by simply giving Him permission to reside in me, indwell in me, He is changing me. I am learning to simply be with God. I am learning to rest in His love
