2 hours of precious time with just Him.

May 28

Last night as I went to sleep I was thanking God for such a productive day. I went to bed at a decent hour so I told Him I would really like to get up early to start my day. I wanted to start my day with Him, unrushed and alone. I had a lot I wanted to get accomplished and I didn’t want to feel rushed during my quiet time. I know that if I’m up early enough, it is quiet, peaceful, and I have no interruptions. I never set an alarm to wake myself up in the morning, unless I have to make it to an early appointment. I allow myself to wake up when I have had enough sleep. I am not an early bird, but I also hate to waste precious time sleeping the morning away. I fell asleep easily and didn’t wake up all night until early in the morning. I looked at the time and it was 6 am. It was even earlier than I had hoped for, maybe too early, but as I lay in bed for a few more minutes I realized that I am not at all tired and so I get up. I had two uninterrupted hours of quiet communion with God. I prayed and read and was still. The time was so sweet. I know it was a simple thing to get up early to meet with my Papa, but I cherish my time with Him. It is not often that I can get uninterrupted time like that. My heart is settled. My Spirit is full. My mind is clear. Thank you, Lord, for making a date with me. I loved it! I also want to thank you for helping me finish everything else I wanted to accomplish. Bonus!
