October 18

I almost didn't go to church today. I almost stayed home to watch it online. It's really hard to drive with one hand. And because of the pain and discomfort, I'm a lot more tired than normal. But a friend of mine is blessing me with a new KitchenAid Mixer, and we were supposed to meet at church today, so she could give it to me. So, I headed off to church. When I got there, I was looking for somewhere to sit. I normally like to sit up front, but with the social distancing, and half the pews are blocked off so you can't sit in them, it's a little tricky to find a seat. So I just walked along the back until I found a row that was pretty clear. And as I was sitting down, I realized my girlfriend is right there. A few minutes later on the other end of the pew another, really dear friend sits down with her daughter. Surrounded by people I love. I really don't like watching church online. It is never quite the same. There is something really sweet about corporate worship, and hearing the message live. Not to mention the fellowship. I really miss the fellowship. So at the end of the service, my girlfriend tells me that she forgot the KitchenAid. I just smiled. I was so glad I came. My other friend and I went out into the hall and talked. We had so much to get caught up on. We hadn't had a chance to talk and quite a while. I am so thankful God got me to church. I thought I was going to pick up a KitchenAid. But God knew He was going to breathe into me a little bit of life.
