Rain, rain go away. Come again another day.

May 20

God held back the rain for me today. I am making a fire pit in my back yard out of flagstone that we had leftover from a different project couple of years ago. Now that we have grass in the backyard I want to get this done before it gets to warm to really enjoy it. I thought if I could just do one layer each day it wouldn't take long to get it done. Sunday night I looked at the weather and saw that it was predicted to rain every day this week, all day long. I know the weather is unpredictable so I kept checking. Today when I woke up it wasn't raining, and wasn't supposed to start until 11 am. I dropped my daughter off at her babysitting job at 10 am and went straight out to the backyard and started working. I figured I had an hour since it was a 90% chance of rain by 11. I got to work and kept going until I finished almost two layers. I got the rows leveled out and was happy with how much I got done. I knew I wouldn't have enough time to open a new tube of adhesive and use it all, so I thought this is a good time to stop. I looked at the clock and it was 12:30. Just for fun I checked the weather APP, it said it should have been be raining this whole time. As I walked up the back steps the first few drops started to fall. Thank you God for holding back the rain.
