Whether it is a real storm, like we experienced today, or a storm of life, He wants us to trust Him and find rest.

February 6
This morning at morning Grace, we had tornado warnings. Since moving to North Carolina we have been through a few tornado warnings, but nothing like this. Normally it is a non-event. A message on the radio, maybe some rain and it's over. Today, the weather was bad, the skies were dark and tornadoes were landing. We had a wonderful time of worship and then went up to our classes, Shorty after our classes started the sirens went off. Everyone in the church had to go to the sanctuary and wait. With the use of smartphones, we could know what was happening outside the safety of the church walls. Tornadoes were touching down all around us, but we were safely tucked under HIs wings. We prayed together, we sat together and we trusted God. We sat in the sanctuary for over an hour and had sweet conversation. In the midst of a storm, we were safe. In the midst of a storm, we enjoyed each other’s company and trusted God. We didn't get to go back to our classes, but we all felt God's presence in the midst of the storm. Whether it is a real storm, like we experienced today, or a storm of life, He wants us to trust Him, and experience peace and Joy like we did today, in the middle of the storm.
