One little boy had five loaves and two fish, the reality was, there is not enough food. But In God's kingdom, the offering of one little boy was more than enough!

As I woke up this morning God was speaking to my soul. He was impressing on me, that the reality of His Kingdom and His truth needs to become more real to me than the realities of this world. God's Word trumps my fear. If the enemy is trying to whisper that destruction is coming; I simply remember Psalm 57:1 And my peace is restored.

Be gracious to me,

O God, be gracious to me,

For my soul takes refuge in You;

And in the shadow of

Your wings I will take refuge

Until destruction passes by.

God's word trumps my doubt, my unbelief, even my misconceptions. When over five thousand people were hungry and one little boy had five loaves and two fish, the reality was, there is not enough food. But In God's kingdom, the offering of one little boy was more than enough! God’s Word trumps my idea of life and death. The reality for two sisters, Mary and Martha, was that their brother was dead. But Jesus knew it was time for a miracle. Jesus called Lazarus out of the grave!

Now we see things imperfectly, like puzzling reflections in a mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity. All that I know now is partial and incomplete, but then I will know everything completely, just as God now knows me completely.1 Corinthians 13:12 NLT

There is a battle going on in the spiritual realm. The bible tells us that God sends angels to take charge of us and protect us. We don't see this. We don't see all God is protecting us from. When we focus on the troubles of this life, the things that are wrong and broken, we can miss the reality of what God is up to. We can miss the miracle, or the opportunity to join Him in the work he is doing. When Moses lead the Israelite's to the red sea, it looked like Moses had led them to their death. There was nowhere to run. They had no escape. The Egyptian army was closing in. The truth, or God's reality, is that the red sea was not the end for Israel. It was the end for the Egyptians. The Red Sea was a passageway for God’s people and a grave for their enemy. We need to open our eyes to the reality of Who God is. We need to trust His character, so we can see His reality.
