Sometimes a little thing can release more power than you can imagine. Jesus said some things can only be accomplished through prayer and fasting.

I had decided to do an intermittent fast during the quarantine when my daughter came home from Switzerland. As the country has been shutting down and social distancing has been put in place, I felt like I should continue the fast until the threat of COVID-19 was over. An intermittent fast simply means that I limit the time of day I can eat. I eat my first meal after 12 noon and my last meal is between 6:30 and 7 pm. I have to admit that when I extended my fast after everyone came home, I was a little lax in the evenings. Sometimes we would eat a little later than normal, sometimes everyone was snacking and I would have a little treat. I was really good in the morning, that was easy. The evening was a different story. I thought since this was my idea to fast, maybe just the morning would be fine. God made it abundantly clear that I was making excuses and I needed to honor what I started. So much is happening because of this virus. So much is being affected in our world; health, life and death, finances, world markets, more than I can see or know. Even more is happening in the spirit realm, most of which I can't see. I want to partner with God and what He is doing. My prayers do matter. This fast matters. I know God is allowing this pandemic for good. it may not look like it right now. Never the less, I know the character of My God. I trust the goodness of my God. Prayer and fasting release power. If my God is up to something, I want to join Him. My prayers and this fast are just a simple way I can do that.
