Psalm 23

As I have been meditating on Palm 23 God has been showing me the banquet table and telling me to abide in Him, linger, and rest. The table He has prepared is so full of blessings and gifts and kindness, do not leave anything behind.

I was talking to a dear friend today, she has been going through a really difficult season for the last several years. A few days ago as she was crying out with a broken heart in great grief she felt the Lord speak to her. The Lord met her there. He walked her through Psalm 23. In her mind, he took her to beautiful green pastures and had her lay down. He showed her that no matter the circumstance she can come here to this place to find rest and peace. God knows more than anyone what she is going through. He did not leave her or forsake her. His grace was sufficient. He then took her to the banquet He prepared for her in the presence of her enemies. It was a beautiful long table, full to overflowing, and all around her and the table was a wall of Plexiglas. The enemy was locked out on the other side and she was safe to enjoy the banquet God had prepared for her. Seeing God comfort my sweet friend today, especially with the same Psalm I have been meditating in, is such an encouragement.
