I am so glad I don’t take for granted the protection and timing of God. It is not chance or luck that all was well. It was God.

Today was wrapped in human kindness and tied up with His love. My husband Michael helped clean the house. Since my shoulders are still not great, he did the floors. It was such a blessing. Near the end of the day, my friend Marie came over to fix an outfit she needed for the morning. Her family is celebrating her grandmother’s birthday with a big party. Her daughter dropped her off and went to the grocery store to get a few last-minute supplies for the party. It didn't take too long to fix her outfit. Thankfully it turned out to be something pretty simple. As I finished the outfit, my son Brandon came home from school and said he just witnessed a jeep crash into the light pole and completely knock it over. He called 911 and reported the accident. The whole intersection was shut down because the lights and power lines were blocking the intersection. My friend’s daughter was not going to be able to get back to our house safely, or any time soon. God's timing could not have been more perfect. Brandon saw the accident but did get caught in it. My daughter Amber-Rose was about to go home. We were able to tell her a way to get home that would avoid the power lines and she wouldn't get lost. We called Marie's daughter and told her to go home and we took Marie home, the back way. All of us being able to avoid the backlog of traffic that occurs after an accident. Brandon chauffeured, while Marie and I sat in the back seat and chatted. It was quite fun!. Then, on the way home, I sat in the front seat and caught up with my son on what is happening in his life at school. It could have been a very different evening, but God's timing was perfect, not just in His protection, but in the joy of it all.
