Hiding in our homes from a plague this Passover.

April 8
Today at sunset is Passover. We met on zoom tonight at 7 pm, to hear a dear man from our church, who is a Messianic Jew, talk about Passover, and what it means. All these Jewish Holidays point to Christ. They are so full of meaning and we miss it because they are not a part of our heritage. I am so blessed that even though we cannot meet in person, we were not prevented from gathering virtually. We are hiding in our homes from a plague this Passover and Resurrection Sunday. The death Angel passed over the homes of the Jews all those years ago. When Jesus celebrated the Last Supper with His disciples, He was celebrating Passover. Jesus became our Passover Lamb on the anniversary of that momentous event. Any time we celebrate communion we are remembering that Passover meal, before Christ was crucified. So much symbolism, so many things knit together from the Jews to the Gentiles. That Passover is the pivot point in all of History. The Jews need to look forward to see Christ and what He did for us. We the Gentiles need to look back at our heritage to see all that God had woven into these holidays. The more the two sides of this pivot point in history come together, the richer our understanding will be, and the richer our faith will be. My faith is a little richer tonight.
