Sometimes it is good to look back at the wonderful things God has done in your life. Take a moment to thank Him for His guidance, protection, and blessings. He has never left us and has rained down so much kindness.

February 12

One of the things I love about teaching is the time I get to spend in God's word. Wednesday morning I have my personal time with God. Then I head up to my bonus room and review all the things God has revealed to me throughout the week. I look over the lesson plan and prayerfully decide which elements will work and which ones to leave out. I spend time putting into words what God has shown me. God often speaks to me in pictures or what some would call parables. I write down the pictures God wants me to share. All this time spent preparing for class tonight just wraps me in the Father’s love. I see His truth more clearly. I feel strong and encouraged. Hosea 11:4 really spoke to my heart and I shared it with my class.

Hosea 11:4

I led them with cords of human kindness,

with ties of love.

I lifted the yoke from their neck,

and bent down to feed them.

I can look back over my life and see how God has lead me with kindness, and directed my path. He ties me to Himself with love. So many burdens He has lifted off my shoulders, too many to count. When I was first learning to trust Him, I remember how He bent down to feed me. One simple verse lead me down memory lane in the blink of an eye. My God is so faithful and trustworthy.
