Holy Spirit Gifts

Some times, when one skill is taken away, a weaker one must grow to compensate for the loss.

I have realized that part of the reason I am not getting the same joy from Cleansing Stream now that we are on Zoom is my gift of discernment is highly connected to my gift of compassion. I love the connection I feel with people when we are together. It fills me with life-giving vitality and joy. When we meet through the computer I feel isolated, disconnected.

The small group time has revealed my reliance on my spiritual gift of compassion and discernment. When I am with people, I can feel what they are feeling. I can't explain why I know the things I know, I just do. I can sense it. I know this is a gift from God, and I have come to depend on it. The problem is, I was relying on my gifts and not the Holy Spirit. Having become blind in a sense is causing me to depend on the Holy Spirit on a new level. I love this! I would never have known what I was missing if it wasn't for the distance caused by the Coronavirus. I was using my gifts to hear the Holy Spirit. Now I am relying on the HolySpirit to use my gift. I don’t know if I will ever feel the same joy online as I do in person, but I’m really excited to grow in my ability to hear the Holy Spirit. Today we had a wonderful time of prayer. depending on the Holy Spirit instead of my gift of mercy and compassion. Ladies are being set free and lives are being changed.
