I can't think of anything that would make this day any better.

August 13
Today was my youngest daughter's birthday. She turned 19 today. She came home from two back to back YWAM mission trips, with great hopes for her future. Life was looking pretty good. Instead, there have been quarantines, social distancing, school online, and separation from her older sister and her family because they got COVID. Up until today, we were not sure if they would even be able to come to her birthday. They had gone back to Florida for Pepo’s funeral and it didn’t look like they would be able to get home in time and even if they did, would their test results be negative?
It all worked out delightfully. I went out this morning and got some balloons and a few last gifts that her brothers wanted to get for her. When I got home I had time to decorate before picking her up from work. My oldest daughter and her family got home late last night and the test results came back negative! We can see them! It has been over a month since I have been able to give them a hug. My son in law called me on his way home from a meeting and offered to pick up the food and the cake on his way to the house. So I didn’t have to run out again. The house was filled with joy and laughter. We even did a pinata. I can’t think of one thing to make the day better. We will all go to bed tonight with hearts full.
Thank you, God, for such a blessed day.
