God’s Protection

God was protecting us even though at the time it appeared the opposite.

I am reminded again to trust God, especially when it doesn't make sense. Before the end of the year, my husband’s employer decided to no longer allow their employees to have a self-directed retirement account. They were forcing us to sell everything in that account by the end of the year. We felt like the timing couldn't be worse. Several of the positions my husband had in this account were down, and he was waiting for the rebound. Now, we were being forced to sell at a loss. Looking at all of this now, God was protecting us. We may have sold at a loss, but with the impact of the Coronavirus, the stock market has been incredibly volatile. God protected us from a much greater loss. Our retirement is safe. My husband can rest. God knew what we did not, and we can trust Him.
