Time

I have been given a gift of time with my children.

Today is Sunday. I really miss church. I miss worshiping together. I miss feeling the powerful presence of God among His people. We are watching the message online together as a family, and today we cooked on the grill and spent the rest of the day together. God is whispering to me... Time, precious time. Time to enjoy each other. Time to slow down. Time at the lake with my family. All together. This may be our last summer together like this. Once life goes back to its normal busy pace and my children continue on with their lives, they won't be so close. They are growing up and becoming more and more independent. They are each creating their own life. I thought that when they all left within three months of each other last year, it would never be the same. God is giving me more time. One more chance to hold them close and love them well. He is telling me to make good use of the time. We all ended up walking down to the lake. My husband, four children, two grandchildren, son-in-law, and Kiki the Australian Sheppard. Kiki went swimming, the grandbabies got a little too wet, and we all enjoyed it. Time together! Thank you God, for Time.
