When my life is God-centered, I have peace and see more clearly. I can see where God is working and join Him.

February 5

My greatest challenge in my relationship with God, is trying to stay God-centered. Too often throughout my day, my prayers, my thoughts, and my actions are self-centered. When life is confusing or difficult, generally my first thoughts are about how I am affected, how I am going to handle it. I want to start making plans, taking circumstances into my own hands. I do re-orient myself to Seeking God, and asking Him to reveal to me what the truth of my circumstances are. I do eventually remember that if God is allowing something difficult or challenging in my life, His purposes are good. But more often then I like, my perspective starts out wrong. When I truly see myself and my life in light of who God is, My life is much more God-centered. When my life is God-centered, I have peace and see more clearly. I can see where God is working and join Him. I am leading a group of Ladies through the study Experiencing God. I am really excited to share this study with some of the ladies in our church. It has had such an impact on my life, and I am so honored that God has entrusted this to me. Every time I review my workbook to prepare for teaching this class I see where God has taken me and what he has done in my life. All of this just fills my heart with Joy! Tonight to put the cheery on top of a good day, my class went really well. I found my groove. Teaching what someone else has written, and their plan to lead a class can be awkward. I had to trust God and His guidance. Tonight I found the balance and sweet spot. We had great conversation and the ladies were excited to see where God would take us.
