For the Son of Man came to find and restore the lost. Luke 19:9b

February 22
I have been looking for something I put away before Christmas. It is a long decorative piece of carved wood I put on my piano. I take it down when I put the Christmas decorations up. I have looked everywhere for it. I was beginning to think maybe it was gone. Someone broke it or thought it was garbage and threw it out. So today I prayed. I told God, You know where it is, please show me, and Lord if it is gone I let it go. I was surrendering it to Him. You see I wanted to hang something on the wall above the piano. I was given some old wooden window frames and I finally cleaned up a few of them, put a little fresh paint on them and they are ready to go. I really wanted to have my lost decorative piece before I hung the window frames. I surrendered and decided I would just go ahead and hang the windows. I ran out of time to hang them today, but as I was getting ready for our life group I see in the corner of my closet the lost piece. I couldn't believe it. I have looked in my closet many times. How I missed it I don't know. What I do know is that God is the finder of lost things. He finds lost people, lost time, lost opportunities, and lost things. I just need to remember, it's HIs time, HIs way, and His plan, not mine. What was lost, He will find. He keeps bringing me back to this life of surrender, and trust, living with my hands wide open.
