Sometimes God just needs to get me out of the way, so someone else can shine.

Today we had our second Cleansing Stream class on zoom. I know it is better than not meeting at all, but honestly, I am not a fan. I do see all the benefits, and I am so glad our church is using this platform to connect everyone so we are less isolated during this time. But, I miss being together. I miss the easy flow of conversation. I can sense what others are feeling when we are together. I feel connected and energized. I also trust that God can do all He wants to do in the lives of our ladies during this crazy time. So, today halfway through our small group time together, my internet became unstable. My connection to the group was so broken I could not communicate effectively. I missed a good deal of the conversation. As soon as I realized this problem was not going to be brief, I texted Evelyn to tell her to take over and finish the time together. Coming into this season, Evelyn was not confident in her ability to lead. I see in Evelyn what she cannot see in herself. God used this time to show her that she has what it takes. She did a great job, and as she becomes more comfortable, she will become even more effective. God gave her an opportunity to step up and lead, and she did it marvelously.
