I believe the enemy’s favorite tool is fear.

March 4

Today is Wednesday and again as I was preparing for class God revealed truth.

The destroyer of love is not hate, it is fear. Fear blocks out all of the blessings of God’s love. All the fruits of the spirit; love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

I believe the enemy’s favorite tool is fear. Fear I won’t get what I want, or what I think I deserve. Fear they won’t like me. Fear I will lose. Fear that I will fail.

We have other God’s because we fear He will not come through

We make idols because we fear not having control

We take the Sabbath lightly because we are afraid we won’t have enough time

We don’t honor our parents because we are afraid they will ask more than we can give

We commit adultery because we are afraid we won’t be loved the way we need to be

We lie because the truth scares us and reveals

We covet because we are afraid we don’t have enough.

Fear is a lie

We are the best of ourselves when we work from a place of love. We are the worst of ourselves when we operate from a place of fear. Fear is weakness, Love is strength. My instinct is to protect myself from disappointment or pain. That is living in fear. I need to embrace hope and look for the goodness in the land of the living. Perfect love casts out all fear. I need to keep my eyes on the one who is Perfect Love. Be strong, take courage, and do the work.
