I can't wait to surprise my husband.

August 11

My son and I went to Ikea today to pick up a few wooden trains. He is volunteering on Sunday mornings with the four-year-olds in the nursery. He wanted to bring our wooden train tracks and some trains on Sunday but couldn’t find most of the trains we have. He has been really enjoying his time helping out and playing with the children, so I don’t mind buying a few inexpensive trains. We stopped to get a cup of coffee on the way out, and honestly, it is just a blessing to still be able to spend a morning with my son. Off to Ikea we went. We found the toy trains and headed to the registers. We didn’t go through the whole store, but on the way out I stopped by the As-Is room. I never know what I might find, and I really like a good deal. I found a super light down duvet for summer. I have been looking for one of these for years. I love to sleep with a down duvet. It is light and fluffy, gently covering your body so you are enveloped in its coziness. For me, a cold room is key to a good night’s sleep. I like the air to be cold, not my body; with a duvet, my body is never cold. The problem is in the summer. Sometimes it can be a little warm and my husband would complain. I started to look for a lightweight duvet for summer. Whenever I did find them, they are always more than I was willing to spend. This duvet was on sale and on clearance because they are being discontinued. I can’t wait to surprise my husband! He gets really hot under our thick, downy duvet. Tonight should be a pleasant change. Thank you, Jesus. The timing was perfect. If it wasn’t for the trains I wouldn’t have gone to Ikea, and I wouldn’t have found my duvet.
