Why worry when God has it all in His control. The more we trust him, the less small hiccups bother us. Good or bad He has a purpose.

January 15

So many things could have gone wrong today. I had my first class tonight and needed to make sure I was ready. I also needed to set up for our kick-off Morning Grace Brunch. I spent the bulk of the day getting ready for class and getting decorations ready for brunch in the morning. Then I was almost late to church. It's been a while since I've run into bad traffic. But God got me there on time. Once I got into my classroom, I accidentally put the DVD in the wrong CD tray and it wouldn't come out. I called Betsy and she couldn't figure it out either. I thought I might have to do an introductory class instead of the first unit. But then Taylor came and I got the DVD out and things went really smoothly. I didn't just have 14 women come, I had 27. I Surrendered this class to God, and I prayed that He would do for these women what they are asking him to do. They all want to experience Him in deeper and new ways. On the way to church, I told my daughter I was kind of nervous about the class. I told her it's easier to teach my own lessons. It's much harder to teach someone else's plan. Trying to make sure you include all the things you're supposed to while still keeping the class flowing and interesting. Once I surrendered everything to God it went really smoothly. I hope they enjoyed it as well. Then several of the ladies went downstairs with me to get the tables ready for tomorrow morning’s brunch. I had been told they would get the lights hanging from the ceiling ready first, so it might take a few minutes before they can get the tables going. So we cut out the fleece that was going on the center of the tables while we waited. We looked inside the room and nothing was happening, so we thought we just needed to wait a little longer. After a little longer, I went to look for the gentleman who sets up the tables and he was nowhere. So the ladies and I got at the high school kids and the high school pastor to start putting tables out. It took a lot longer because we really don't know what we're doing. We needed 28 tables and we needed enough room around each one for chairs and walking space. So it took much longer, but we got it done. Just as we were finishing, Scott showed up. He apologized, he got partway home and realized he had forgotten. He'd had a pretty rough day that day and just headed home after church was done. I'm really glad he came back. He fixed all the tables, found the plates for me and we were able to get everything set up. God orchestrated it all. The room truly did look like a winter wonderland.
